Pat Capponi

Part-time member, Consent and Capacity Board

Pat Capponi, C.M., O.Ont. Identifies as a psychiatric survivor and a person with lived experience of poverty. Ms. Capponi has a long history of effective advocacy, currently she is lead facilitator‎ at Voices from the Street, co-chair of the Mental Health Sub-Committee of the Toronto Police Board, and a member of the Income Security Reform Working Group at MCSS. ‎ Ms. Capponi has published five books of non-fiction and two mysteries, sat on the Inaugural board of CAMH, and currently sits on the city of Toronto advisory council to the Poverty Reduction Strategy.
