"Welcome to the Ontario Mental Health and Addictions Leadership Advisory Council website.
Good mental health is important for all of us and yet mental health and addiction issues affect one in five Ontarians. Far too many of those affected do not get the help they need to recover.
Since 2011, the government has made it a priority to support the development of an accessible, high quality mental health and addictions service system in Ontario. The Mental Health and Addictions Leadership Advisory Council was established in 2014 to help the Ontario government achieve this important goal.
We have created this website to share with you the Council recommendations to government as well as research and background papers that support the recommendations.
We encourage you to review the information and use it to inform your work.
Simply put BETTER MENTAL HEALTH MEANS BETTER HEALTH. "
